The Ultimate Fighter Finale returns to the Pearl at the Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 1, as the UFC officially announced the event on Monday morning.

The card will be headlined by a five-round welterweight bout between Jake Ellenberger and Martin Kampmann, a fight that will move the victor into a contender bout in the 170 lb. division. Additionally, the card will feature the finals of the lightweight tournament on the UFC's first ever live season of TUF on FX.

"The welterweight division is stacked and Jake Ellenberger and Martin Kampmann are going to fight for the chance to earn a title shot," UFC President Dana White said in a press release for the event. "They will headline the season finale of TUF Live on FX to crown the next Ultimate Fighter. There's a lot at stake for the guys competing on this card at the Palms."

Tickets for the event go on sale to the general public next Friday, April 13, with prices ranging from $104-$354. UFC Fight Club members get a presale next Wednesday, while UFC newsletter subscribers get access to tickets next Thursday.

Penick's Analysis: Considering the UFC Welterweight Title won't be on the line until November at the earliest, the winner of this fight was going to be taking at least one more fight regardless of who it was. Now, the UFC has essentially made that official, with White saying they're fighting for the chance to earn a title shot. The winner will probably fight on the November card that will host the Georges St-Pierre vs. Carlos Condit title bout, and that fight will more than likely be a number one contender fight.
